It’s no secret Nelson, BC’s Freeride Entertainment is one of the most prolific production houses in the world when it comes to making mountain bike films. Their latest release, called Where the Trail Ends, is the culmination of two years of shooting in some of the world’s most far-flung locations. And while this new film is presented as a departure for Freeride because of its attempt to tell a larger story, at its heart, the raging psychosis that is big mountain riding shines the brightest. And the blood that gets said heart thumping the loudest? Four Nelson-based riders that steal the show. We won’t give comments on the “story” side of Where the Trail Ends, we’ll leave that up to you. What we will call out though, are the standout performances and complete nutbar riding of Mike Kinrade, Robbie Bourdon, Kurt Sorge, and Gareth Buehler.
