Uprising is a new event in Whistler’s cultural calendar that fills the void left by the hiatus of the Deep Winter Photo Challenge. The event brings an exciting new format in which teams of pros and proteges work alongside each other to capture the moments of mountain life that inspire us and present them in a slideshow for the audience’s viewing pleasure.

Over 1,100 skiers, snowboarders and photographers are expected to attend the event at Whistler’s Fairmont Chateau and they’ll be called upon to choose who takes home the “Best in Show People’s Choice Award.” Uprising is presented by creative agency Origin, Tourism Whistler and the Fairmont, and supports Protect Our Winters Canada (POW Canada).
