The Seismic Spring Mountain Festival returns to SilverStar Resort March 13 to 22. This is what you can expect.

The second annual Seismic Spring Mountain Festival lands at SilverStar Mountain Resort March 13 to 22 and will include new events such as a Craft Beer Dinner and Ladies Ride Day.

“We are very excited to once again bring together all different styles of entertainment,” said Chantelle Deacon, Silverstar’s media relations manager. “This festival features everything from extreme sporting events, to family and culinary events. There really is something for everyone.”

As always there will be music throughout the festival including the likes of singer-songwriter Andrew Allen, DJ duo SkiiTour (seen below), and perennial favourites Stickybuds and Mat the Alien. And back again for another year is the Seismic Comedy Night featuring Ivan Decker who won a Juno for his 2018 album “I wanted to be a dinosaur” and who appears in the Netflix stand-up series “Comedians of the world.”

SilverStar has also added new events to the agenda including plenty that will satiate your tastebuds such as the Craft Beer Dinner, a Winter Wine Dinner and a Forty Creek Master Class whiskey tasting. Seismic will also feature new events just for the ladies including a Ladies Stoke Film Night and Ladies Ride Day. The latter is a collaboration with Freestyle BC and “is about hanging out with a bunch of like-minded girls, gals, amigas, queens and improving your riding and confidence along the way,” says Deacon.

Sporting events for Seismic will feature professional and amateur athletes from all over British Columbia with more than $50,000 worth of cash and prizes up for grabs. Feature sporting events include the Rail Jam, Big Drop, Slopestyle and the popular King & Queen of the Cross, which pits skiers versus snowboarders on the bordercross course.
