Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine and Columbia Basin Trust launch Season 2 of the Headwaters Podcast.
Ghost stories. An escaped cheetah. Running a 100-kilometre race. There are a lot of topics being explored in Season 2 of The Headwaters: Stories from the Source, which launched this morning at headwaterspodcast.com and on all podcast platforms. The first three episodes of the season are out now and include “The Paranormal,” “Talking Trees,” and “Tall Tales.”
Brought to you by Columbia Basin Trust and hosted by Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Mitchell Scott, Season 1 of The Headwaters was a huge success amassing more than 10,000 downloads.
“People told us they really loved hearing these stories about where they live,” says Scott. “So, we headed back out on the road for a year, gathering more.”
Each of the episodes is connected by a theme, written, produced, and recorded in the Basin using journalists, writers, musicians, and designers exclusively from the region. Three episodes were released this morning and one a week will drop throughout May and June.
“It’s been a real pleasure working with the team at the award-winning Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine, and listeners say they want more, so we’re excited for season 2” says Delphi Hoodicoff, Director of Communications, Columbia Basin Trust.
The first three episodes of Season 2 of The Headwaters are now available at headwaterspodcast.com or wherever you listen to podcasts. Watch for new episodes weekly and follow it on Instagram at @headwaterspodcast.
