Kootenay Mountain Culture’s annual winter bash went off in fine style at Nelson’s Capitol Theatre this past Friday night. A sold-out crowd, a host of great films and two live performances by Rossland’s Graham Tracey and Nelson’s comic hero, Lucas Meyers, had the crowd engaged and enthused from start to finish. Check back to KMCmag.com as we post some of the Booty shows, a handful of which were premiered for the first time at the Capitol. Highlights include Five Full Runs from Nate Smith, a wicked look at Tanner Hall shredding up at Retallack last spring; The Flood by Juicy Studios, a mini-doc on Rossland’s retiring rink tractor; and Crossing Over by Mike Bernard, about the near death of Slocan Valley artist Jeremy Down.
