It’s back for it’s 10th Anniversary, and as the popular event returns to the slopes of Whitewater Ski Resort, be sure to partake in the numerous happenings both on the hill and in Nelson. As longtime title sponsors of the event, KMC is proud to host the Coldsmoke Opener Film Festival at the Civic Theatre. Tickets are only $20 and KMC Publishers Pete Moynes and Mitchell Scott will be on stage inducing chuckles and giving away prizes in between great backcountry media from the likes of Kari Medig, Steve Ogle and Nick Diamond.

Even the party side of the equation is covered, new this year the Saturday night social has shifted to Nelson’s iconic Hume Hotel & Spa, where the Spirit Bar will kick the night off with the Mountain Mingler reception with stunning appetizers and complimentary tasting from Nelson Brewing Company, Kootenay Distillery, and Todd Creek Cider. Once you are done mingling with the mountain folk, join the After Party with live music from local talent Red Eyed Soul and none other than Elliott Brood himself.
